Commonwealth of Poland national Flag
The naval ensign of the Commonwealth of Poland. It was used on warships of the Commonwealth Navy from the second part of the sixteenth century till the end of the eighteenth century. The flag represents an arm with a crown-like short sleeve and equipped with a sword on a red background.
Coat of Arms Flag
The naval ensign of the Kingdom of Poland. It was used on warships of the Polish Navy until the union with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and creation of the Commonwealth of Poland. The flag represents a white crowned eagle from the coat of arms of Poland on a red background.
Courland State Flag
The state flag of the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia - a vassal state of the Commonwealth of Poland. Being much more oriented towards the sea than its overlord, the Duchy attempted to settle colonies in Africa and the Americas during the second half of the seventeenth century. The flag was sometimes used on ships as the alternative to the naval flag.The flag represents two red and white horizontal stripes.
Courland Flag

The flag represents a black crab on a solid red background.
Grand Standard
The personal standard of Kings of the Commonwealth of Poland during the reign of House of Vasa. The standard indicates the presence of the King aboard. The three-tailed flag features the royal coat of arms of the Commonwealth of Poland in the center and three red-white-red stripes on the background.
Privateer Flag
The flag of Polish privateers operated on the Baltic. The Kingdom of Poland got access to the Baltic Sea after wars against the Teutonic Order in the second half of the fifteenth century and since then the Navy moved from rivers to the Open Sea. The flag represents smoke from a battle, an arm with a crown-like short sleeve and equipped with a sword on a red background.
Royal ensign/Flag of Rewel
Royal ensign attributed to the Commonwealth of Poland in the old flag Atlas. Also known as the flag of Rewel/Reval - a large port in the Baltic region and the former member of the Hanseatic League. The port was very important for trade routes between the Scandinavian countries and Russia and had been contested for centuries by the Commonwealth of Poland, Denmark, Sweden and Russia. The flag is used on trade ships belonging to Rewel. It consists of six alternating dark blue and white stripes, three of each type.
